Welcome
to my Website
I am from a
farm in Grassy Cove, TN. I was born and
raised in Crossville. I was born into a church where
my grandfather was the pastor. My grandparents
planted the seeds of ministry to me starting at an
early age. My grandmother went on to Heaven about
two years ago and I think of her every time I sing. I want to thank the Lord for his blessings on
me and my family. God has always took care of me and
without him I would not be here today. I have a
wonderful husband that has supported me Anthony W.
Turner J.D. and two children Courtney and Justin.
Courtney plays the piano every Sunday at church at 9
years old in gleaners. The love from a strong family
helps me be who I am. My parents always taught me
that you can do anything you want to do in life. I
started out singing in church at the early age of 3
sitting at the piano with my mom. I was named after
Jeannie C. Riley. I would like to thank my
mother-in-law for her support. My influences were Patty Loveless,
Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Allison
Krauss, Hee-Haw and the quartet my mother sang in. I
performed on a expressive movement team with a
wonderful group of spiritual ladies. I am a 3rd
generation missionary leader, taught Sunday school,
caregroup leader and then was put in the position as
Youth praise and Worship Leader. I wanted to record
in a studio one Christian song and the National
Anthem. I did it so my brothers could hear me sing
since I could not get them to church. I felt it
would touch hearts. It turned into an album after I
was asked to sing at the Cumberland Jamboree with
the Trackside Band at the Palace Theatre in
Crossville. I was so excited to get my first album
done locally. I sold cds at church to give money to
Vacation Bible School. I have competed in many
competitions including Nashville Star. Since then,
the Lord has blessed me with so many miracles. I was
put on the GodsChild Record Label and we have just
completed the album titled "I've found a place". Bill
Vorndick engineered the music along with John Rees
producing. It is fabulous and has a country acoustic
sound and some bluegrass gospel. We worked very hard
to create a beautiful sound on each song that I
chose. The writers have an amazing gift from God.
Each song has ministered to me. I am thankful for
all the musicians, songwriters, producer and
engineers that helped on this album at Funhouse
studio and Denny's Den in Nashville, TN. I am
thankful for my
backup vocalists, Marsha, who works
with Patty Loveless, Jennifer, who works with Dolly
Parton, and Ray, who works with Billy Dean. It has
been a blessing to get to work with all these
talented people. |
